Description: In this class, each child will be designing and creating their own, one-of-a-kind, Shabby Chic Tree. Using cut up pieces of fabric and felt, we will construct a multi layered tree. Each child will carefully pick out the pieces of fabric they will use and plan out the order of each layer by design and color. Once that is finished the construction will begin. They will assemble the tree using fabric glue, wooden dowels and a plastic base. The fabric will be glued on to thick cardboard for stability and layering. When the tree is done, glass gems, ribbon and battery-operated lights will be aded. For the finishing touch, a metal star will be placed on top. When finished the tree will stand between 7-9 inches.
