Art & Soul “YOU”nique Mask

This next Art and Soul project is perfectly “YOU”nique. In this 4 week class, we will be sculpting our whimsical self portrait out of kiln and glazed fired clay. Each child will create a clay wall mask using their favorite color as the base. The mask will have little sculpted pieces of their favorite things that make each one of special. Do you love to read? Make a book for your mask. Play soccer or the piano. Like to cook or camping? You can add a tent, a spoon, piano keys or a ball. The whole design is up to you! This project is fun and zany and is really special! Come show us who you are.  The mask is about 8” long ( size varies due to creativity), and will have a way to hang on the wall.

Class Dates: Monday February 24th, March 2, 9 and 16th 3:15- 4:15

Cost: The cost is $35/student.   Payment with credit card has an additional 2.9% fee total of $36.05 

Instructor:   Amy Janes; Amy has been teaching in after-school educational programs for 20 years and has started the “Art and Soul Art Club,” which is offered in several schools throughout RI.
